Pierre Samec is executive vice president and chief technology officer. He is accountable for driving innovation, quality, enhanced integration and long-term solutions roadmaps. Samec has more than 20 years of experience in enterprise software and Internet technology. Before joining TriZetto, he was executive vice president and chief technology officer of Expedia, where he was responsible for leading the company’s successful evolution to a modern, highly productive technology organization. He also served as vice president, quality operations and services, at Business Objects, Inc., which he helped transformed into a Top 10 worldwide software engineering development firm. Samec founded PetroVision, which leveraged supercomputer and database technologies to enable reservoir modeling for oil and gas exploration in complex areas. He holds a Ph.D. in geophysics from Stanford University and a general engineering degree from École des Mines de Paris.
