85 Leading Healthcare Organizations Discuss the Industry's Direction and Key Issues at 2006

Payers Representing More than 80 Million Insured Individuals Gain Insight into Real-Time Point-of-Service, Consumer-Retail Healthcare, Medicare Part D, Advanced Care Management, and More

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – June 7, 2006 – The TriZetto Group Inc. (NASDAQ: TZIX) continued its leadership in the health plan market with its 2006 Payer Conference this week, attended by more than 500 individuals representing 85 leading healthcare organizations. TriZetto systems currently serve one-third of the 100 largest health plans in the U.S.

TriZetto, a technology leader for the consumer-retail healthcare market, unveiled at the conference a live demonstration of its forthcoming Provider POS Direct(TM) solution, which will enable real-time adjudication of claims and real-time patient liability estimation for providers. Provider POS Direct, which will be fully integrated with TriZetto's Facets Extended Enterprise(TM) administrative system, is a comprehensive package of software and services that a health plan's providers can use to collect accurate payment from members at the point of care. TriZetto expects to begin offering it to its health plan customers later this fall.

According to Dan Spirek, chief solutions officer at TriZetto, administering benefits in an increasingly consumer-oriented world requires this type of advanced retail healthcare solution.

"As consumers shoulder more of the actual cost of their healthcare services, providers face an alarming rate of growing accounts receivables and bad debt," said Spirek "In the new retail market, the actual cost of a healthcare transaction will be determined - and paid for - at the point of service. Before the patient leaves the doctor's office, the provider will be able to access the health plan's system and calculate what balance the patient owes for a service. By using debit cards or other means and settling the patient's financial responsibility in real time, providers and health plans significantly reduce senseless administrative costs. TriZetto's Provider POS Direct can be a differentiator for payers, who can improve the member experience, help providers manage growing receivables, and benefit from additional administrative savings."

TriZetto's entire conference showcase was aligned with the pressing business needs of a health plan.
