NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - January 15, 2009 - The TriZetto Group, Inc. today announced a five-year contract with Neighborhood Health Plan (NHP) to equip the company with a hosted model of TriZetto's Clinical CareAdvance® care management system and provide application hosting services for the insurer's continued use of TriZetto's QNXT™ enterprise administration system.

Since early 2007, NHP has used TriZetto's QNXT platform to automate claims adjudication, membership enrollment, premium billing and other core administrative tasks in serving more than 185,000 Medicaid and commercial members in the state of Massachusetts. This year, NHP was awarded an accredited status of "Excellent" by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its Medicaid and commercial products, and was recognized as the nation's number two Medicaid program and a top-50 commercial health plan by U.S. News & World Report and NCQA.

NHP transitioned to TriZetto's application hosting services in December 2008, and the Clinical CareAdvance application will go live in early 2009.

NHP chose TriZetto's Clinical CareAdvance system to manage its members' acute and chronic illnesses and to help improve health status across its member population. The care management system applies clinical algorithms to create targeted interventions that can help improve members' health. Based on flexible business rules that incorporate claims data, utilization measures, diagnostic triggers and optional data sources such as laboratory, biometrics and pharmacy, the Clinical CareAdvance platform provides automatic guideline-based care planning, compliance monitoring, hierarchical team management, task lists, task routing and customizable member communications.

By having TriZetto manage and host the Clinical CareAdvance and QNXT systems, NHP can focus on more strategic IT tasks while TriZetto assumes day-to-day technology management. TriZetto's hosting services include operation and support of third-party software, batch and EDI transaction management and hardware/infrastructure management to TriZetto's state-of-the-art data centers. TriZetto provides these services for more than 30 customers representing more than 35 million lives.
